STEAMhouse will be hosting a Design Thinking Workshop on 15 January 2020 and is looking for academics to sign-up. The aim of the workshop is to bring academics together with colleagues from other higher education institutions for a one-day workshop as part of the ERASMUS+ funded DT. UNI project.
The DT. UNI project is exploring and developing design-led thinking approaches that support innovation in higher education institutions by using a bottom-up approach – supporting students, researchers, academics and management staff in developing their ability to think in a more divergent, creative and design thinking way.
The workshop is designed specifically to help academic staff to apply design thinking techniques to their day-to-day work through practical hands-on activities that will skill them up and support them in implementing a design-led thinking process.
Discussions will explore how a design thinking process can be embedded into the curriculum, supporting student learning and skills development.
