About the Facilitator
Drew Currie has a passion for supporting entrepreneurs, small businesses and making entrepreneurship more inclusive.
As part of his ‘pay-it-forward’ Drew runs free informative and fun, ‘Show Me The Money’ funding events around the country. Sharing hints, tips and tricks on securing public, private, voluntary, academic sector and personal funding opportunities.
Drew has assisted individuals and organisations access over £4million of grant funding, in what he calls ‘Free Money’! All this carried out, pro-bono.
Drew is a business founder, a mentor at NatWest Entrepreneur Accelerator. Board member at the Initiative for Social Enterprise. Judge for Tech Nation. Ambassador for Birmingham Tech. UKRI Future Leaders Fellowship Assessor and an advocate for student work placements.
Based in Birmingham, his previous enterprises included co-founding a nationwide chain of 9 laser hair removal and Botox clinics.
Drew’s latest initiative HibretOne is revolutionising business support adding a social and moral edge to the economic benefits. Aiming to provide the most comprehensive resources, tools and grant funding, to reduce the barriers for anyone starting and scaling a business. HibretOne aims to award £1m+ in grants every year.
