Online event
What is a proposal and why do I need to write one? Join curator and writer George Vasey for pro tips and a new perspective on your writing.
Workshop outline
In this online workshop we will explore how to write project proposals for a range of organisations: What makes a good proposal? What should you avoid? Who is reading it and what do they want from it?
We will explore how to shape your project ideas into compelling proposals by developing and finessing a one minute ‘elevator pitch’ and exploring longer-form proposal writing.
Led by Curator and Writer George Vasey, this workshop will involve break-out sessions and group work with a short introductory presentation. Please bring project ideas that you are working on and be prepared to share them with the group.
Follow-up Sessions
Wednesday 16 November 10–11.30am / 12–1.30pm / 2–3.30pm / 4–5.30pm
We will also be running online follow-up sessions for Create Programme members who would benefit from further guidance. In each informal, discursive workshop up to five members will receive focussed support and editorial feedback on proposals in a supportive group environment.
You must attend the first workshop to participate in the follow-up sessions. We have space for up to 20 members across four workshops. If you would like to join one of these sessions email ruth.claxton@bcu.ac.uk by Friday 11 November saying what time you would like to attend.
These sessions are exclusively for Create Programme members – find out more about how to join HERE
