Sensperiment – An Interactive Workshop with Kaye Winwood

Thursday 26th January 2023 – 17:30 – 19:30

Sensperiment will introduce participants to sensory perception and its impact on how we experience flavour. We will look at the relevance of cross-modality in flavour perception including sound, colour and texture through some fun edible experiments.

Following the introduction, participants will experience a selection of flavours in a fun quiz format to confound and delight attendees.

About the Facilitator

Kaye Winwood

Kaye’s work fuses sensory design with visual arts and gastronomy to create new and meaningful eating experiences to enthral audiences. She applies a ‘beyond the plate’ approach to reconsider the dining experience as a sensorial playground using food as an art material.

In Autumn 2021 Kaye launched GULP – the first UK space dedicated to exploring food art histories, and showcasing innovation within food and sensory design through a programme of sensory dining experiences and activities.

Please note:

Sensperiment is a taste-related experience, not a meal.

Allergens and dietary restrictions cannot be catered for on this occasion.
