This interactive course will enable you to set a strong foundation by creating an evidence-based business case for innovation and growth.

This is the first session in our 2024 Innovation Methods and Mindset short course programme, hosted by Nightingale Design Research.

About the course

This interactive one-day course will enable you to set a strong foundation for business growth by creating an evidence-based business case for innovation and growth. In this session, you’ll identify knowledge gaps and potential blindspots, and learn how to use practical research to fill those gaps, so you can minimise risks for your business and move confidently in the right direction. You can sign up for this individual session, or as many as you like as part of the series!

Who’s it for?

For teams and individuals who want to bring evidence and data to their product and service development. You might be responsible for product development, or you want to influence how you do innovation in your organisation.

What you’ll learn

• How to set goals for innovation and growth
• How to identify barriers to innovation goals
• How to use research insights to drive product and service development
• How to identify the best research methods to generate actionable evidence
• How to use research findings to create a business case for innovation

The skills you’ll develop

You’ll develop an understanding of how to spot problems worth solving in your business.

You’ll be able to frame research questions and understand what research you want and need to drive development efforts.

You’ll determine what research you can conduct in your team and what you need to outsource, and you’ll be able to make sense of data once you’ve collected it.
