Call for speakers at Birmingham Design Festival
Open until 14th March
The summer of 2019 marks the return of the Birmingham Design Festival (BDF) and STEAMhouse, powered by Birmingham City University, is proud to be getting involved in this celebration of the dynamic design industry. Birmingham Design Festival will be held over three packed days (6-8th June) with some exciting talks being held at STEAMhouse, located in the heart of Digbeth, Birmingham.
The ethos at the heart of the festival the perfect match for STEAMhouse, a new collaborative makerspace which seeks to unite talented start-ups, SMEs and entrepreneurs from different backgrounds within Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Maths – the STEAM disciplines – to bring amazing new ideas to life.
This is our call for speakers – speaking at BDF is an incredible experience that you won’t forget. Most of our participants are invited by the festival team, but we have additional slots available specifically for applicants who fill in the submission form and tell us about their idea. Simply follow the link and tell BDF about yourself and your idea.
Spaces are limited, so make sure you get your application in early to avoid disappointment.
Submission form: We recommend reading up on the festival theme, about the festival and our page on participating at BDF. If you are submitting a talk these should be between 30 and 40 minutes long. Because of the number of applications we receive, we will only contact you if you are successful or have been placed on the stand by list.
