Creative Europe – Disruptive Innovation Project

We are launching an innovative new programme for creative thinking, innovation and technology open to BCU students, both undergraduate and postgraduate. There will be a lunchtime drop-in session on Tuesday 12th March from 12:45-14:00 upstairs at The Eagle and Ball (next to The Curzon building) to explain how the STEAM Disrupt Lab pilot will work and how you can participate. And there’ll be free pizza!
More about the programme:
Participants in the STEAM Disrupt Lab pilot will be given a series of challenges to address. Working collaboratively and with technical support, teams will produce concepts or protoytpes to address those problems.
There will be two labs:
Urban INC, Bucharest, Romania 29th April-4th May 2019
STEAMhouse, Birmingham, UK 8-12th July 2019
Travel and accommodation in Bucharest will be paid for by the pilot.
Who can take part?
We are looking for a diverse group of people to take part in this exciting pilot. If you are interested in any of the following then you will find the programme relevant to you:
• Creative: Artistic work, especially concepts that applies
technology
• Innovation: Service design, urban innovation or digital user
experience
• Making: Tech or traditional making, product design or
technology engineering
• Computing: Computer software development and coding such as apps
