Online

Join us for Maker Monday on Monday 13th April, our fortnightly slice of inspiration from the creative and tech worlds.

We’ve been monitoring the response to the clear concerns over COVID-19 and have decided to make our event online with a live stream presentation and live Q&A with our speakers.

We care about your safety, and the safety of the broader community, and feel it is more important than ever to find new ways to connect and celebrate tech, creativity, conversation and communities.

As always, we will keep the inspiration flowing with some shorter, impactful talks, lots of sharing, content and space for discussion.

If you want to bring your own food and beer along as well, please do.

Speakers confirmed

James Hannam (@iamjameshannam).

James is a product designer, maker & entrepreneur. He is the founder of Pantri, MakerLabs and MakerAppliances. In the first of a two parter, James will present a Making in Lockdown challenge. He will introduce you to a kit list of basic programmable items (that you can get hold of or might have at home), and set a challenge for us.

Liz Johnson (@lizjohnsoncomp)

We’re also delighted to welcome back Liz Dilnot Johnson to follow up from the interactive delights of our previous Maker Monday. Liz will have some follow experiments with sound – finding the best ways to work with Zoom as a creative platform for composing and performing with online groups. Be prepared to join in once again! Mices ON (with headphones if possible).
