James co-founded Birmingham based theatre company Stan’s Cafe with his friend Graeme Rose in 1991 and since then has directed all their major projects. The company has toured the world with its highly original productions. It also works closely with a small number of partner schools in Birmingham.
James occasionally guest lectures at universities but mostly spends his time with Stan’s Cafe trying to make the implausible inevitable. www.stancafe.co.uk
