About this Event

Join us for the latest lockdown edition of Maker Monday on Monday 20th July, our fortnightly slice of online inspiration from the creative and tech worlds

As always, we will keep the inspiration flowing with some shorter, impactful talks, lots of sharing, content and space for discussion.

James Yarker, Stan’s Cafe (@stanscafe)

James co-founded Birmingham based theatre company Stan’s Cafe with his friend Graeme Rose in 1991 and since then has directed all their major projects. The company has toured the world with its highly original productions. It also works closely with a small number of partner schools in Birmingham.

James occasionally guest lectures at universities but mostly spends his time with Stan’s Cafe trying to make the implausible inevitable. www.stancafe.co.uk

James will talk about how Stan’s Cafe approaches making work including their theatrical devising process as well as a focus on some of their latest projects.
