Join us for the March 2019 edition of Maker Monday, our monthly slice of inspiration from the creative and tech worlds.
This month’s event brings together some amazing speakers who are looking at the world of making and creating from very important perspectives.
Dominic Morrow (@ChickenGrylls) is a maker, blogger, podcaster and hackerspace founder from Nottingham. In 2017 he created the Makevember Manifesto, a challenge to make something everyday and share it online. A challenge that raises questions about how, where, when and what making is, what is “good enough” to share, about the stories we tell ourselves about making and how we can think differently when we make, create and share.
Emma Payne is Business Development Manager at The Scrapstore Birmingham (@ScrapstoreBrum). Part of Birmingham Playcare Network, The Scrapstore Birmingham collects & sorts materials, or ‘scrap’, donated by individuals & businesses for redistribution to individuals & organisations supporting play & creativity. In her talk, Emma will talk about their amazing work to create and educate sustainably, reducing waste, saving money, helping the environment and making links with their local community
Be prepared to be provoked and entertained in equal measure.
As always, we will keep the inspiration flowing (the first drink is on us) and food.
Places are limited and will go fast and booking is essential.
