Get hands-on with James Hannam as he shares his frameworks for working (incl. Scrum and Miro) + Mark Brill introduces the One Pixel Project.
Join us for the latest online edition of Maker Monday on Monday 30th November, our fortnightly slice of online inspiration from the creative and tech worlds.
Scrum, Miro and Zoom Buttons with James Hannam
We welcome back the amazing James Hannam (Maker and Ops Manager at STEAMhouse) with some of the ways he and the STEAMhouse team have been working in lockdown. He will walk us through everything from ‘frameworks’ of working, to tools for collaboration and also looking at some projects he has been busty with over the last few months.
A whistlestop tour of some making, thinking and sharing – and inspiration for you and your work.
1. Scrum, what is it, and how is James using it with the STEAMhouse team to be agile and react fast to new challenges
2. Miro, an online tool for collaborating, used by James to plan and build new services and products with his team
3. Zoom buttons – a new maker kit James is working on to make all those remote video sessions a little more entertaining.
One Pixel Project
First up, Mark Brill will be an announcing an open call for an exciting new initiative called the One Pixel Project. This is a STEAM-based Internet of Things project that looks to connect objectives through the simplicity of a one pixel interface. We are open to all ideas, and those with their concepts selected will be invited to work with STEAM Fellow, Mark Brill, to realise these ideas. There will be an exhibition of work in the summer of 2021 and the opportunity to take concepts to market in collaboration with STEAMhouse.
As always, we will keep the inspiration flowing with some shorter, impactful talks, lots of sharing, content and space for discussion.
