Please tell us a little bit about you and why you are interested in joining.

Materials Club is a community of like-minded artists, designers, makers, scientists, engineers and researchers who come together each month to discover and share projects related to material ecology.

The second meeting of 2021 will include short talks from three speakers – Artist, Lauren Gault, Sculptor Jo Lathwood and Harpist and Materials Researcher, Rachel Horton-Kitchlew – who are all part of the STEAMhouse community, and exploring materials as part of their ongoing practice.

Materials Club is built around an open and active culture of sharing, so as well as an opportunity for a short Q&A with all three speakers there will be time for other attendees to share work in progress, biomaterial challenges and exciting new discoveries.

Whilst Materials Club is primarily made up of STEAMhouse members we welcome anyone with an interest in biomaterials, materials science or material ecology. If you are interested in taking part please click the ‘Book Now’ button to email Senior Technician Sarah King.
