THIS EVENT IS NOW FULL.
If you’re a coder, designer, creative professional, artist, maker, entrepreneur or SME and enjoy working with others to explore new ways of thinking, we have the event for you…
We are excited to invite you to the STEAMlabs Health Hack, the first STEAMlab event to be held in the brand new STEAMhouse facility in Digbeth, Birmingham!
What is a STEAMlab?
A STEAMlab is a hack-style event in which we bring regional SMEs and creatives together to collaborate and work together to find a solution to a real problem faced by another business. The NHS will be the focus in our STEAMlab Healthcare Hack but you do not need to be from the healthcare sector to attend!
Why? We believe that by working with peers from different industries, with different skillsets, we will be able to combine our knowledge and expertise to develop a solution to the problem – or as the old saying goes “two heads are better than one.”
STEAMlabs Health Hack will be a high-energy, creative and collaborative event, with the opportunity for new solutions to be fast-tracked and/or funded for the next stage of development!
Why attend our STEAMlab Healthcare Hack?
The Problem with Access to Healthcare
We’ll be looking at the challenges faced by patients in understanding and accessing health services they need, and using some specific local challenges (such as diabetes) as a focal point.
We think that solutions to these specific challenges will have applications in other areas across the health service, with a high potential for scaling out successful solutions across the health sector.
We have fantastic backing for the event from CCG- NHS Clinical Commissioners (West Midlands), West Midlands Medical Centre and Substrakt Health who will be supporting you in understanding the problem, finding new connections with potential health partners and more.
If this sounds like your cup of tea, or you’d like more info then register for your free ticket and we’ll see you there! Get ready to innovate!
(Oh, and please bring your laptop along with you)
