About the Speakers

Nathan Dewell is currently an assistant lecturer in Computer Games Technology in the Centre of Digital Media Technology in the School of Computing and Digital Technology of Birmingham City University. He currently leads on the “3D Game Programming” and “Game Asset Pipeline” modules.

Dr Xi Guo

Dr Xi Guo is currently a Lecturer in the Centre of Digital Media Technology in the School of Computing and Digital Technology of Birmingham City University. She currently leads the module of “Web Game Development” and “3D Game Programming. She founded and has led a cross faculty learning community called the REAL FLC (Reality Enhanced Augmented Learning – Faculty Learning Community) since 2017. Her expertise and research interests are computer simulation for health and education, Immersive games and simulations for education and training, MR (Mixed Reality), AR (Augmented Reality), VR (Virtual Reality), Internet of Things (IoT), Machine Learning.
