Fully loaded for innovation

Business support, expert guidance, the latest equipment and new collaborative opportunities – everything you need is right here.

The STEAMhouse programmes are built around three strands that have been designed to support a range of sole traders and enterprises. Business support underpins all routes and members are encouraged to take a holistic approach, considering all aspects of their business as they prototype and develop their new product or service. For full details see our INFO PACK.

Members are recruited each month in cohorts of up to twenty and begin the programme with an intensive programme of inductions and action planning workshops. For example you might be:

A theatre company using new virtual reality tech.

A fabricator trying CNC routing for a new project.

An artist looking to experiment with new materials and develop new skills.

An architect wanting to collaborate with an artist on a new commission.

A gaming business taking free-to-play to the next level.

A management professional aiming to revolutionise your service.

Join STEAMhouse for:

  • Free access to well-equipped makerspace with workshops in print and materials, digital design, digital manufacture, resistant materials (wood, metal, plastics) and virtual/augmented reality.
  • Workshops which help you develop the knowledge needed to prototype using digital software, hardware and production processes.
  • Free, tailored business support led by industry experts
  • Free access to co-working space which is open five days a week
  • Opportunities to take part in innovation labs, collaborative workshops and networking events.

The small print

Our facilities aren’t available for the large-scale production of an existing product, and we do not offer studio or workshop hire.
