What is a STEAM Challenge Event?

Sometimes the challenges you need to solve require collaboration outside your organisation. STEAM Challenge Events provide you with the space, connections and process that make this possible.

We work with you to bring together stakeholders from across sectors to tackle complex business or social challenges, such as fuel poverty, transition to a green economy, or improving city life with technology.

Testimonials

It was fascinating to get a cross-industry group together to look at the challenge of tackling embodied carbon in the built environment. This is important work and it’s only by talking to each other that we will be successful.

Joe Dowley, Senior Policy Advisor Department for Levelling Up, Housing & Communities

I thought it was a wonderful event and very uplifting to see so many key figures come together to discuss the issue. I am interested to build on this with targeted follow-up sessions, which would be a valuable way of moving this important work forward.

Alex Lochead, Policy Advisor for the Clean Heat Directorate at the Department for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy (BEIS).

Who’s it for?

STEAM Challenge Events are for organisations who care about tackling some of today’s biggest problems. They work best with multi-stakeholder groups that can include businesses, charities, public sector organisations, academics, and citizens.

These diverse perspectives are essential to developing meaningful outcomes, so participants should be representative of backgrounds and disciplines from across the STEAM spectrum.

How can a STEAM Challenge Event help?

ALIGN STAKEHOLDERS AND BUILD RELATIONSHIPS

We create a process that enables participants to define and prioritise problems, align on a common goal, and speed up decision-making.

UNCOVER OPPORTUNITIES

Problem solve collaboratively and rapidly in a neutral environment with people from across disciplines.

EXPLORE NEW WAYS OF THINKING

We enable teams to sort, prioritise and validate their ideas before envisioning where they want to be in future.

How to activate a STEAM Challenge Event
