MAKER MEMBERSHIP

Supporting creatives and businesses to create, build and prototype in our Production Space. Experiment in 3D print, wood & metal, textiles, print, and sustainable materials

Features of Membership

  • An induction to the facilities, and access to the Production Space, kit, and equipment
  • Production Space open Monday to Friday 10am to 4:30pm, with extended opening until 8pm on Wednesdays
  • Access to our Business co-working space, as well as bookable meeting rooms
  • Access to the STEAMhouse Community Website
  • Up to 20 minutes of non-bookable and informal project support with a technician per visit (excluding general machine or equipment support), based on availability and Terms and Conditions
  • Bookable access to specialist equipment
  • Specialist PPE for machine use
  • 20% discount on one-to-one troubleshooting sessions, specialist machine training, short courses, and workshops
  • Access to the workshop loading bay (on arrangement)

 

Additional services

  • 1-hour one-to-ones with our technical team to troubleshoot and support your projects – £20 + VAT
  • Specialist machine training (up to one hour) – £15 + VAT
  • Materials inventory, which is charged by square metre or cubic metre
  • Protective clothing and PPE available at a discounted rate by our partner, Beeswift

Why should you sign up for Membership?

By signing up for this Membership, you’ll be getting access to the STEAMhouse Production Space, tools, and equipment, with additional support from specialist technicians. Experiment and build with 3D printing, wood and metal, textiles, print, and sustainable materials.

Our Maker Membership has been created to support creatives, engineers, designers, and anyone who has an idea they want to build, but might not have access to a Production Space, kit, equipment or expertise. For example, we’re equipped with the latest fabrication kit, to enable you to experiment with materials and processes and create prototypes or artworks that help you make sense of your ideas.

As a Maker Member, you’ll also get up to 20 minutes informal project support from our technical team per visit, and bookable two-hour troubleshooting sessions are available on request. Once you’re inducted into the Production Space, and trained up on specialist equipment, the only limitation is your imagination.

Maker Day Pass

What if I want to use the Production Space, but subscription membership isn’t for me?

We now offer Day Passes to our Production Space, designed specifically for makers who want to use the space, kit and equipment every now and then. Once you’re inducted and trained up on machines, you’re all set.

Maker Day Passes are available to be booked online for £30 + VAT per day.
