Autin Dance Theatre Prototype Giant Performance Structure at STEAMhouse
Ahead of their tour upcoming tour of Europe, STEAMhouse member Autin Dance Theatre (ADT) built and prototyped their giant 7-meter performance structure at STEAMhouse, named Up in the Sky.
Up in the Sky is a breath-taking outdoor aerial dance performance exploring themes of resilience, belonging, displacement, and hope. Audiences will get to witness dynamic aerial choreography and captivating storytelling on a striking 7-metre truss structure. All the storytelling is expressed through movement and physicality, and we’re excited to be able to share a preview of the performance!
ADT is a collaborative ensemble of creatives who devise & produce aspirational, socially engaged & mass participatory movement projects regionally & internationally. Autin’s distinctive artistic voice draws on contemporary social issues (environment, community, relationships & identities) to make engaging, accessible, relevant performance work.
