Birmingham City University (BCU) has joined forces with social-media marketing agency JC Social Media to provide a series of free webinars to support businesses in managing their social media and online marketing presence during the Covid-19 pandemic.

Each webinar lasts for around 50 minutes and features a mixture of case studies, theories and demonstrations ensuring that participants leave with actionable tasks and the knowledge to put new things into practice for themselves.

The rest of the seminar series will cover;

  • Creating engaging content
  • Developing relationships with customers online
  • E-commerce on social media
  • Creating an ads strategy that generates results
  • Collaborating with other companies and users online

Project Officer, Lucia Puricelli, from BCU’s Employer Engagement Team says;

“We are committed to supporting the regional business community during these extremely challenging times. These webinars will provide insight and guidance for businesses looking to develop how they operate on line alongside considering how to conduct business in a virtual environment for the first time. We have worked with JC Social Media on numerous occasions in the past and this webinar series will provide new ideas and insight that the University can follow up with participants and provide additional or ongoing support”.

David Glenwright, Head of Training at JC Social Media says:

“We are delighted to be able to continue our partnership with Birmingham City University to provide workshops and support for businesses in the local community, despite the unprecedented circumstances that we all find ourselves in. With many people either furloughed or working from home, social media usage is likely to significantly increase, and it’s vital that organisations maintain a strong social presence to engage with new and existing customers alike. This series of webinars is designed to do exactly that, and we look forward to helping attendees build and develop a resilient online strategy.”
