STEAMhouse and UKSPF launch pre-funded opportunities for businesses who need support to innovate

Do you want to build a new product, service or project but have limited budget or resources to get things going? We’re thrilled to announce a new project – fully-funded by the UK government through the UKSPF (UK Shared Prosperity Fund) – to support Birmingham & Solihull businesses to innovate, collaborate and grow.

Applications for this project are now open to ALL local businesses and SMEs in key growth clusters, with a particular emphasis on the creative, digital, transport technology and low-carbon sectors.

We’re looking to help ambitious businesses and organisations who want to capitalise on the opportunity to receive up to 20 hours of tailored, free-to-access business support, until March 2025. As a participant of this project, your business will benefit from a fully-funded, fixed-term STEAMhouse membership so you can start your innovation and growth journey today. If successful in your application, as a project participant you will receive:

  • Access to fully equipped, collaborative workspace so you can do your best work
  • 20 hours of dedicated business support and mentoring to solve the challenges you’re facing
  • Access to networking opportunities with like-minded individuals and businesses so you can progress together
  • Access to our community events, so you can level up your skills in a variety of areas
  • Guidance from our skilled mentors and technicians with decades of experience, to make sure you get access to the support you need.

This is a rolling programme with regular intakes of members, however we are capping the intake at 20 members per month to ensure that our funded members get the tailored support and attention they need. We’re expecting a very high demand for places, so be sure to get your detailed application in as soon as possible.

To be eligible for STEAMhouse Forward, businesses must be SMEs (Small & Medium Enterprises) and have a trading address in Birmingham or Solihull.

Your application will be assessed within 3 working days and our STEAMhouse Forward team will contact you to help you start your Forward journey.

You can apply here.
