How isolated entrepreneur built innovative start-up

STEAMmates: Meet Taran 3D. Taran Singh is the founder of Taran3D an innovative 3D design studio that visualises objects and spaces using the latest immersive technologies for touch screens, VR headsets and mobiles.

Having spent the last 15 years working as a interactive 3D visualiser, creating immersive content using game engines for the architectural and engineering industry in the UK. Taran decided to focus on his business. Taran told us about the difficulties he encountered, “Trying to run your own business while holding down a full-time job can be quite isolating, and I lacked the confidence or business knowledge to make it happen.

STEAMhouse has gave me the support I needed, a place to call home, surrounded by like-minded individuals collaborating with each other. The support of STEAMhouse staff has enabled me to make informed decisions. Attending the workshops has also allowed me to put good business practises into place.

I have achieved some amazing things due to the support STEAMhouse have given me from employing three freelancers and adding two more full-time staff in July to mentoring five student apprentices from Solihull college.
