The Fourth International STEAM Conference is taking place on Tuesday 17th October – Wednesday 18th October 2023.
The Academic Research Day for STEAM Conference 2023 will be held on 18th October and its theme is: STEAM Transformation.
We would like to hear from researchers interested in STEAM thinking and the application of transdisciplinary methods to foster and enable innovation.
We welcome submissions from experienced as well as early-stage career researchers and post-Graduate students.
We always encourage applications from academic-practitioners, designers and artists.
Submissions from co-authors and research clusters will also be gladly accepted for consideration.
The principal thematic areas to which we invite responses are:
Equality, Diversity and Inclusion
Examples could include: Gender equality and STEAM; Making research and innovation more inclusive.
Pedagogy
Examples could include: Curriculum design; STEAM teaching and learning; Approaches and methods.
Sustainability
Examples could include: Net zero; Green technology; Circular design.
Our cross-cutting theme this year is Digital Technology, exploring the transformative role it can play in STEAM innovation.
IMPORTANT – following recent feedback from the research community regarding time constraints and availabilities arising from this month’s UK Bank Holidays, the deadline for submissions has now been extended to 30th May.
Abstracts should be submitted using the online form, which can be accessed via this link: Submit Your Abstract
On the day of the Conference, all accepted submissions will take the form of a 15-minute presentation followed by a 5-minute Q&A session.
We welcome presentations in a variety of formats, including Powerpoint, film, video & interactive demonstration.
There will be a number of parallel sessions during the day, each reflecting the core Conference themes.
Please note that all proposals will be peer-reviewed.
