STEAMmates: Meet – Shovon Wiggans, owner of  INSPIRE – A – DOLL, a multi-cultural doll range where dolls represent people of colour. They aspire to bring more diversity to the UK toy market.

When you inspire a child, you inspire a generation, INSPIRE-A-DOLL seeks to do just this. INSPIRE-A-DOLL helps bring an insight into customs, lifestyles and values of other cultures. Dolls with different ethnic backgrounds celebrating their individuality.

Although they are yet to launch, ideas like this are revolutionary for society in the long run. Businesses that aim to bridge multiple gaps and educate their audiences are essential.  Shovon gave us some insight into how she discovered STEAMhouse and how we’ve helped shape her journey as an entrepreneur.

“ I discovered STEAMhouse, after walking past the building in Digbeth one day, and walked in and it went from there. STEAMhouse gave me the confidence to take criticism during the tear down meetings and also to network with like-minded people.

Still to this day I recommend people to STEAMhouse, it’s a wonderful place to work and the people you meet there are very nice.”

STEAMhouse are here to support you, through all aspects of your start up and personal development as a business owner.
