Our partnership with the Birmingham Design Festival is a natural extension of our mission. The Birmingham Design Festival is a renowned annual event that celebrates the rich and diverse design culture in Birmingham and beyond. It brings together creatives from various disciplines to share ideas, inspire each other, and showcase cutting-edge work.Now entering its sixth year, BDF has become an important part of the global design calendar, attracting visitors and speakers from around the world to the West Midlands, joining over 60 hours of free talks, workshops, exhibitions
and more.
STEAMhouse hosts the product district of this years festival.
By partnering with the festival, STEAMhouse aims to amplify our support for the design community. This collaboration will enable us to provide even more opportunities for learning, networking, and growth for designers and innovators. Together, we will work to create an environment where creativity thrives, and groundbreaking ideas come to life. This June, Birmingham Design Festival returns in full festival format exploring our annual theme of Process – feat. over 80 speakers and 100 events across 3 days.
STEAMhouse’s history is steeped in a dedication to the Midlands’ design scene. From being a centre for tyre design and manufacturing in the Victorian era, to providing state-of-the-art facilities and expert mentorship to hosting workshops and events today, we have continually sought to empower creators to push the boundaries of their craft.
