About the programme

Since 2018, the programme has worked with hundreds of entrepreneurs, artists, makers and businesses in the GBSLEP area, helping them to collaborate, innovate, explore, and engage with new ideas and conversations.

The programme supports members to develop new products and services and, where appropriate, gives them access to a substantial production space with equipment to prototype in a range of materials including wood, metal, plastics, textiles, print and biomaterials. Members are guided by specialist workshop technicians with expertise across traditional processes and digital fabrication through 1-2-1’s, workshops and short courses.

In April 2020, the programme was extended, introducing new facilities which enable users to experiment with a wider range of digital technologies including Virtual, Mixed and Augmented Reality.

Support is supplemented by tailored business support, masterclasses led by industry experts, 1-2-1 mentoring, networking and knowledge sharing events, opportunities to collaborate with academics and grants of up to £2,500
